LOCKDOWN SPORTS

The way this pandemic has unrested our life is really really horrifying. The pandemic started at a very slow pace but what a gradual pace it has got is terrific. It somewhat looks like the story about "THE RABBIT AND THE TURTLE". Here covid-19 is referred to as a turtle as its pace was very slow at the start but it was steady and we humans thought that it will fly off easily but didn't know that this was enough for us to stay in our houses for continues more than a year. I sincerely hope to god that please let this pandemic fly off so that we could relive the precious moments. The world will not remain the same once the pandemic is over as it would be a whole lot new world where people are scared of anyone sneezes or coughs. The masks are really very irritating but they would continue for long. Many of the people will try not to go to crowded places as they are frightened for inside. In this pandemic, many families have lost their members and that is a very sad part. They must have not imagined that someone so close to them would die like this. I consolidate to them and may god make them brave.

My main topic is Sports, more preciously lockdown sports and how it has affected the outdoor sports and most important the huge pos and cons of lockdown sports. Let's see the basics of sports. It was predicted in Greece that sports were first instituted formally. Whenever we say Sports, the first scenario we get in our mind is playing on grass fields and getting tired of rigorous physical work. I remember my days when we used to play from 4 in the evening till 7. Those were the times when my mother used to call me continuously from our balcony. But I was dheet(stubborn) enough to play along and then she would beat me with a stick when I reach home. Those were the fascinating days that I used to relive. But due to this pandemic, I haven't seen any children in the last one and a half years playing outdoor sports as all the children are either busy on their mobile phones playing virtual games or their parents are not allowing them to play outside. Yes, parents are frightened too and that is good cause for their good health but they should also see that their children are nowadays too much attracted to mobile phones and games in that.

I got my first smartphone when I reached my college for engineering but nowadays I see that parents are giving their child a smartphone in one request only. I do not understand this mindset of parents. Well, that is one of the very bad sides of a pandemic. But I think that comparing outdoor sports with games on mobile phones is highly disrespectful to it. Outdoor sports make you think about that sport and make your muscles stretch and tire but phone games make you sick and tired without any effort given. Now, this is the very bad side of lockdown sports.

The question may arise and very well asked that "IT IS PANDEMIC OUTSIDE AND GOING OUTSIDE IS DANGEROUS".Yes, this is true but one tries to get himself tired so that at least he/she can get a peaceful sleep. At least people can do a home workout or rigorous yoga sessions to tire their body. I see long long grass fields in my colony. Firstly, at the start of a pandemic, we use to talk from our door but now that one also not. What a time has arrived, God knows only.

U see TOKYO OLYMPICS  2020 has been postponed and yet till now they are not confirmed whether there be Olympics this year or not. The TOKYO OLYMPIC committee has said that they will do their best to make OLYMPICS this year yet it is hard to say. The stats as following;-

CHARACTERISTICS                       LOSS IN BILLION JAPANESE YEN(BILLION $)

1)  Cancellation                                                           4515.21(41.4)

2)  No spectators                                                         2413.3(22.1)

3)  Simplifaction                                                         1389.8(1.2)

4)  Postponement                                                         640.8(0.58)

In total there would be an estimated loss of 8959.11 billion Japenese Yen(65.28 billion dollars).

OMG, what a huge number but this is reality. This is a loss that has to be compensated by the Japanese government. These are facts collected from GOOGLE.

So, last but not least I want to conclude that parents must enforce their children and their family members also to do some extracurricular activities as that will make their bodies in shape and their health too. I am not saying that send them in the field in between pandemics but I am saying that at least make them stand on the balcony or even roof in the morning so that their body can get some sort of sunlight to grow them.

Thank You.

I want to tell you that this is my first blog. I hope you all will like it.

Later in 2009, an Anonymus which is...
